What you'll do

  • Define and implement application-level architecture and foundational patterns for multiple platforms.
  • Develop complex software applications and subsystems for divisional projects.
  • Establish full project life cycle plans and coordinate schedules for multiple complex projects.
  • Perform independent technical and functional analysis to translate business vision into software solutions.
  • Recommend development testing tools, methodologies, and validate test plans for QA readiness.
  • Provide technology solutions for daily issues and advise senior management on technical strategy.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications and subsystems.
  • Perform continuous integration, deployment, and code scanning using DevOps principles.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise-level software, including web development, system analysis, technical design, and release and build management across the SDLC.
  • Expertise designing and building enterprise cloud-enabled distributed systems using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka.
  • Expertise in responsive Web MVC applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Node.js, OAuth, and SAML.
  • Expertise applying DevOps principles including Jenkins for CI, IBM uDeploy for CD, Sonar for code scans, and Jprofiler/VisualVM for performance tuning.
  • Expertise in Oracle databases, including designing schemas, PL/SQLs, stored procedures, and transactional SQL, plus HazelCache for performance optimization.
  • Ability to perform independent technical analysis, mentor junior team members, and advise senior management on technical strategy.
