Additionally, you will implement security protocols like OAuth and SAML, manage data via SQL/NoSQL databases, and leverage tools such as Kafka, Maven, and Splunk to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure application architectures for complex divisional initiatives.

What you'll do

Engineer complex, multi-domain systems using cloud-native patterns like event streaming and distributed caching.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable application-level architectures for large-scale digital workloads.
Perform deep performance engineering, capacity modeling, and resiliency design for mission-critical systems.
Conduct advanced prototyping and feasibility assessments for emerging technologies and architectural approaches.
Develop original technical solutions to translate business vision into functional software applications.
Establish full project life cycle plans and manage complex schedules for multiple projects.
Advise senior management on technical strategy, risk management, and development policies.
Create comprehensive technical documentation including system design artifacts and quality-control frameworks.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer.
Experience implementing and supporting applications and mid-tier services in financial services or healthcare environments using Apache, Tomcat, NodeJS, and Linux.
Expertise in Java, J2EE, JavaScript (Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, ReactJS), RESTful web services, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Experience with event-driven messaging via Kafka and security protocols including OAuth and SAML.
Proficiency in SOLID principles, 12 factor methodology, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and NPM.
Expertise in automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter) and technical documentation tools like Draw.io.
Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog), project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow), and Agile methodologies.
