The Principal Software Engineer/Developer designs and evolves large-scale, cloud-native software solutions to enable secure, reliable, and intuitive digital capabilities. Working within a globally distributed Agile environment, you will modernize customer- and associate-facing applications by migrating legacy platforms to modern technology stacks. Key responsibilities include architecting reusable RESTful APIs and microservices, writing high-quality code, and managing the full development lifecycle through CI/CD pipelines and containerized platforms. You will utilize AWS and Azure services, Java EE technologies, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular, React, Oracle SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Core competencies include expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, and Jest. You will solve complex technical problems by translating divisional initiatives into scalable software, performing data modeling, and mentoring junior team members to ensure high-volume system stability.

What you'll do

Design and evolve large-scale, cloud-native software solutions and microservices using AWS and Azure.
Develop and modernize customer-facing applications by migrating legacy platforms to modern technology stacks.
Architect and implement reusable RESTful APIs that integrate through API gateways in distributed architectures.
Write high-quality code and build comprehensive automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines and containerized platforms.
Perform complex technical and functional analysis to translate business visions into software solutions.
Establish full project life cycle plans and coordinate schedules for complex projects across multiple platforms.
Advise senior management on technical strategy, risk assessment, and project development policies.
Enhance engineering standards by refining application architecture, improving test coverage, and strengthening security practices.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and cloud-native full-stack web applications and APIs.
Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, backend services, relational and NoSQL databases, and public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Expertise in packaging and operating distributed applications in containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
Expertise in configuring and supporting CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube.
Expertise in full-stack development using Java EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Oracle SQL, Hibernate, and Microservices.
Expertise in relational database schema design and data modeling using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
