The Principal Software Engineer/Developer joins the team to design and deliver enterprise-grade, service-side software solutions within large-scale, multi-application environments. The individual will build service-oriented and API-based solutions to support system integration and data exchange. Key technologies include Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring MVC. The role requires expertise in Oracle database optimization, OAuth, SAML, and SOAP/RESTful services. Candidates will utilize Azure Cloud, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, uDeploy, ActiveMQ, and Azure Service Bus. Monitoring and version control are managed via Splunk, Kibana, Datadog, and Git to support financial services infrastructure.

What you'll do

Design and deliver enterprise-grade, service-side software solutions for large-scale, multi-application environments.
Develop and build service-side applications while automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and API testing while monitoring application health.
Define and implement application-level architecture and contribute to software design and testing activities.
Establish full project life cycle plans and coordinate complex schedules for multiple projects.
Perform independent technical and functional analysis to provide original and creative technical solutions.
Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve project and technology issues.
Mentor junior team members and advise senior management on technical strategy.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Experience performing full stack software development using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security for backend RESTful APIs in Azure.
Demonstrated expertise designing and developing enterprise Web applications using Java, J2EE, Web security (OAuth and SAML), and SOAP/RESTful services in financial services.
Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Spring MVC, Oracle database optimization, and Test Driven Development using JUnit, Cucumber, and Apache Karate.
Demonstrated expertise in developing middle-tier applications using Java middleware, event-driven architectures, ActiveMQ, and Azure Service Bus.
Demonstrated expertise deploying Azure applications using Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and uDeploy.
Experience supporting production applications using Splunk, Kibana, Datadog, and Git.
