Principal Software Engineer
The Principal Software Engineer joins the Azure Event Grid engineering team within Microsoft Fabric’s Real-Time Intelligence group. This role focuses on designing and implementing next-generation PubSub solutions to enable organizations to act on data as it happens through real-time ingestion, streaming, and event processing. The engineer will own technical designs for system components, establish scalable design patterns, mentor other engineers, and lead code reviews. Key responsibilities include defining testing strategies for messaging systems, improving engineering productivity by building internal tools, and driving operational excellence as a DRI to resolve complex distributed systems issues. What we're looking for

Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Experience building highly-scalable cloud services (preferred).
Deep understanding of distributed systems (preferred).
Experience building Messaging brokers or Pub Sub systems (preferred).
