Principal Software Engineer, Java/AWS

What you'll do

• Create technical product designs and architectures that align with the company's technology strategy roadmap.
• Design and engineer application service solutions using cloud, containerization, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Partner with product management to develop product strategies and ensure alignment with engineering roadmaps.
• Serve as a technical expert and thought leader on software engineering issues and emerging industry trends.
• Coach and mentor team members while modeling best practices for the engineering organization.
• Develop and shape a departmental-wide technical vision for future growth and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and improve product features.
• Advocate for risk management and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States at the date of hire.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is typically required.
• Fifteen or more years of experience are required in designing and developing complex software projects.
• At least eight years of experience in the FinTech domain is required.
• One to two years of experience implementing cloud solutions using containerization, CI/CD, and automated testing is required.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and strong public speaking skills are required.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices, Agile, Scrum, LEAN, and DevOps practices is required.
• Proficiency in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and various cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is required.
