Principal Site Reliability Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and architect scalable, secure infrastructure and services to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Establish technical standards, engineering best practices, and operational controls across complex environments.
• Automate manual processes using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Python to reduce operational risk.
• Troubleshoot complex system failures involving operating systems, networking, certificates, and application connectivity.
• Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Manage large-scale patching initiatives for operating systems, middleware, and applications across Windows and Linux.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to perform vulnerability remediation and ensure system hardening compliance.
• Create technical documentation including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

What we're looking for

• Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Requires advanced hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Must possess advanced skills in at least one scripting language: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or Chef.
• Must have experience designing and supporting high-availability, secure, and scalable cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
• Must be able to perform complex troubleshooting for networking, connectivity, and operating system issues.
• Requires experience with vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and STIG compliance.
• Must be able to create technical documentation including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
