As a Principal Security Architect - Security Assurance within the Business Security team, you will secure business-critical functions across Sales, Customer Support, Partner Relationship, Marketing, and Finance divisions. You will partner with architects and engineers to review threat models, design secure systems from the ground up, perform security design assessments, and identify solutions for risks and vulnerabilities. Your role involves articulating risk decisions, influencing technical architecture based on those assessments, and mentoring team members to improve their technical skills. To succeed, you must possess expertise in the software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection. You will work to protect sensitive data and infrastructure by designing policies that mitigate risk and ensure compliance with internal security standards while solving complex problems within a dynamic environment focused on securing corporate platforms and processes.
Review threat models and design secure systems from the ground up.
Perform security design assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
Develop security solutions and policies to mitigate identified risks.
Communicate risk decisions effectively to drive security initiatives across the business.
Influence technical architecture based on findings from security assessments.
Mentor team members to improve their technical and interpersonal skills.
Ensure compliance with internal security policies for business-critical functions.
What we're looking for
A Master's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection.
Equivalent professional experience to the specified education and experience requirements.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Preferred: Master's degree and 8+ years of enterprise experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of enterprise experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a security assurance or security architecture role.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience with penetration testing and 5+ years of experience in a software architecture role.
