What you'll do

Translate scientific innovations into production services for Azure AI and other Microsoft platforms.
Shape the roadmap for knowledge extraction, multimodal reasoning, and enterprise intelligence.
Partner with engineering, product, and platform teams to align technical direction and scale capabilities.

What we're looking for

A Doctorate with 6+ years of research experience, or a Master's with 7+ years, or a Bachelor's with 9+ years of research experience.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other required security screenings.
8+ years of experience leading and growing high-performing research science teams.
Expertise in LLMs, document intelligence, multimodal AI, RAG, agent memory systems, or knowledge-centric AI.
Proven track record of translating scientific innovation into production systems with measurable business impact.
Experience defining technical strategy and managing research investments across multiple time horizons.
Experience partnering with engineering, product management, and platform teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
Master's Degree in relevant field AND 7+ years related research.
