Senior Principal R&D Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop design solutions for broad development problems involving leads, catheters, and cardiac devices.
• Create new test methods, measurement techniques, and specialized fixtures.
• Analyze test results using software tools like Minitab, JMP, or MATLAB.
• Apply statistical techniques such as distribution or regression fitting to interpret data.
• Identify root causes of failures and propose design or process improvements.
• Direct the activities of junior employees and technicians to meet project milestones.
• Present technical information clearly to management, marketing, clinicians, and regulators.
• Manage deliverables for geographically diverse, cross-functional teams and provide regular updates.

What we're looking for

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree with 10 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 8 years, or a PhD with 6 years.
• Must possess a degree that satisfies 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) if the Baccalaureate was earned outside of the United States.
• Analyze test results using software tools such as Minitab, JMP, or MATLAB.
• Apply statistical techniques, such as distribution or regression fitting with confidence intervals, to interpret test results.
• Develop new test methods, measurement techniques, and fixtures for leads, catheters, and cardiac devices.
• Identify root causes of failures and propose design or process improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Science (preferred).
• Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
