TL;DR · Manufacturing Process Engineer, Supply Chain

The Manufacturing Process Engineer, Supply Chain Org, is responsible for developing, qualifying, improving, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure high quality, yield, throughput, safety, and cost performance. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and external partners, the engineer performs hands-on tasks including process characterization, validation, and capability studies while identifying risks in design-for-manufacturability reviews. The role involves analyzing manufacturing data to resolve production bottlenecks and implementing improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools. Key responsibilities include managing new product introductions, coordinating equipment and tooling evaluations, and supporting automation and digital-manufacturing initiatives. The candidate must possess expertise in statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, and controlled-documentation practices to solve complex manufacturing problems and ensure the reliable production of both new and existing products within a high-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop, document, and qualify manufacturing processes, work instructions, fixtures, and control plans for new and existing products.
  • Execute process characterization, validation, and capability studies while defining clear acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to improve yield, throughput, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for defects, downtime, and production bottlenecks using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and engineering support to resolve immediate issues in manufacturing operations.
  • Manage new product introductions by executing readiness plans and resolving issues during pilot builds and production ramps.
  • Evaluate, specify, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation technologies.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, standard work instructions, and change-control records.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, industrial, or operations engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience solving manufacturing-process problems and delivering measurable improvements in quality, yield, throughput, cost, or safety.
  • Experience supporting new-product introduction, process transfer, or production scale-up is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing-process development, process controls, and industrial-engineering principles.
  • Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, process validation, and controlled-documentation practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
