Principal Engineer

What you'll do

• Drive architectural direction and technical strategy across Kubernetes, edge computing platforms, and the global network.
• Identify and replace technical bottlenecks, legacy patterns, and architectural debt with scalable systems.
• Build data pipelines to collect, enrich, and analyze threat intelligence and abuse signals at massive scale.
• Develop agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted practices to automate threat hunting and detection engineering.
• Incorporate a threat-informed perspective into engineering decisions to stay ahead of evolving attack techniques.
• Translate complex security and compliance requirements into production-grade solutions across multiple internal teams.
• Mentor engineers on code quality, system design, operational rigor, and security-first thinking.
• Manage the operational excellence of systems including participation in on-call rotations and incident response.

What we're looking for

• Must have 15+ years of cyber security experience focusing on building systems for adversarial trends and techniques.
• Must have 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Must have hands-on proficiency in Go and/or TypeScript with experience in Kubernetes and edge computing platforms.
• Must possess subject matter expertise in threat intelligence, adversarial analysis, or detection engineering.
• Must be able to work across organizational boundaries to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and codebases.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows (preferred).
• Experience designing data pipelines using Kafka or Temporal and working with SQL databases like PostgreSQL (preferred).
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws is required.
