The Principal Cyber Systems Engineer joins the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems team to apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases, including concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. This role involves interacting with government entities regarding technical considerations and communicating with program personnel and senior executives to ensure the integrity of deliverables. The position requires expertise in ISO/IEC 15288 process areas such as stakeholder requirements definition, architectural design, risk management, and configuration management. Candidates must possess a STEM degree and experience performing analysis of technical alternatives and deriving software and performance requirements from user needs. The work focuses on developing secure, integrated, and multi-domain systems to address challenges in rapidly changing global security environments. Key competencies include managing project assessments, information management, and ensuring the quality of work products within complex cyber systems.
Apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases including concept, development, production, and retirement.
Interact with government officials regarding technical considerations, problems, issues, and conflicts.
Communicate technical information to program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables for ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.
Perform analysis of technical alternatives and provide preliminary recommendations for projects.
Analyze user requirements to derive specific software and performance requirements.
Manage project activities including risk management, configuration management, and information management.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
A High School Diploma with 8 years of experience, Bachelor's with 4 years, Master's with 3 years, or Doctorate with 1 year in a STEM field.
Experience performing systems engineering activities and preparing work products in Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
Experience performing systems engineering activities and assisting in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas of ISO/IEC 15288.
Experience performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
Experience performing analysis of technical alternatives for a project and making preliminary recommendations.
Experience developing and delivering work products in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
