Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications through functional analysis and trade studies.
• Coordinate the design, implementation, and documentation of NIST RMF 800-53 controls and ASD STIG requirements.
• Identify gaps in cyber control applicability and lead technical meetings to shape resolution strategies with stakeholders.
• Partner with development teams to validate cyber requirements, drive remediation, and prepare artifacts for accreditation.
• Embed DevSecOps and software assurance practices into existing CI/CD pipelines while overseeing the integration of COTS/FOSS solutions.
• Produce security artifacts on an accelerated schedule and provide status briefings to program leadership.

What we're looking for

• Must possess an active Secret clearance at the time of application.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Experience in requirements development including object text and VCRM fields.
• Proficiency in navigating and using DOORS.
• Experience reviewing NIST RMF controls and software assurance.
• Experience reviewing application and system logs for content.
• Experience presenting to a technical stakeholder base.
• CISSP or Security+ certifications (preferred); TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
