The Cloud Engineering Principal takes end-to-end ownership of critical engineering initiatives, including the deployment, integration, and management of private, public, and hybrid cloud platform services. This role focuses on building fault-tolerant, 24/7 application infrastructure while ensuring safe, scalable environment provisioning for complex analytical applications at enterprise scale. The individual will manage infrastructure as code using scripts, templates, and CI/CD orchestration tools to ensure consistency. Key technical requirements include experience with GCP, Confluent Cloud, Kubernetes (GKE/AKS), Terraform, Yaml configurations, and Shell scripting in PowerShell and Bash. The role also requires proficiency in Java or Python, monitoring stacks like Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana, and data analytical infrastructure including Dataflow, GCS, BigQuery, and Vertex AI. Additionally, the position involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with architects to balance security, reliability, and performance.
