What you'll do

  • Design multi-region AWS architectures including Active/Active, Warm Standby, and Pilot Light patterns based on application criticality.
  • Implement AWS Application Recovery Controller (ARC) patterns to manage traffic and verify recovery environments before failover events.
  • Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform to create reusable modules for VPCs, IAM, and monitoring systems.
  • Execute chaos engineering experiments using AWS Fault Injection Service (FIS) to identify and remediate single points of failure.
  • Manage cloud costs through FinOps practices including account tagging, budget tracking, and cost-optimization business cases.
  • Lead migration projects using AWS Migration Hub and Database Migration Service while ensuring data validation and rollback procedures.
  • Create automated CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with integrated security scanning and deployment safety controls.
  • Produce executive-ready reports summarizing recovery readiness, resilience risks, and infrastructure health trends for leadership.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering or site reliability engineering in a large-scale, regulated environment.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, ECS, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, and VPC networking.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Application Recovery Controller (ARC), Resilience Hub, and Fault Injection Service (FIS).
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS IAM including least-privilege design, permission boundaries, federation, and Service Control Policies.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and GitLab for CI/CD pipeline design and deployment safety controls.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation and experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Ability to lead resilience reviews, production readiness assessments, and translate technical risks into executive-ready reporting.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent advanced certifications (preferred).
