Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, VDI Platform

What you'll do

• Own the architecture, code quality, and evolution of the AWS WorkSpaces platform using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for engineering questions and technical issues related to the system.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents across Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, SNS, and CloudWatch Logs.
• Manage day-to-day VDI operations including image builds, bundle management, directory configuration, and user troubleshooting.
• Deploy and integrate Datadog monitoring for the AWS VDI stack to manage metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Mentor junior engineers on AWS serverless architecture, operational best practices, and production troubleshooting techniques.

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of hands-on AWS experience is required.
• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with serverless or event-driven architecture in production.
• At least 2 years of experience with Amazon WorkSpaces in a production environment is required.
• At least 2 years of work experience using Terraform to manage production AWS infrastructure, including remote state, is required.
• Candidates must have experience writing, deploying, and debugging Python Lambda functions in production.
• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and Datadog for serverless observability is required.
• Experience with multi-region AWS deployments, DynamoDB single-table design, and AWS Step Functions is required.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or AWS SysOps Administrator Associate.
