JOB TITLE: Power Integrity Engineer
The Power Integrity Engineer joins the Hardware Technology Group to develop, implement, and verify power integrity solutions for compute and connectivity SoCs. This role involves driving SoC power delivery architecture, defining off-die droop budgets, and designing end-to-end power delivery network solutions across PMU, PCB, Module, Package, and Die levels. Key responsibilities include performing power delivery modeling, simulation, and characterization, as well as conducting feasibility studies for silicon floorplans and active droop mitigation schemes. The position requires expertise in 3D/2D EM simulation tools, transmission line theory, and voltage regulator design. Candidates must utilize Python coding and AI/ML assisted automation while performing lab correlation using VNA, real-time scopes, and spectrum analyzers to address complex noise coupling and impedance specifications within the product's power supply architecture.
Provide implementation guidelines and actionable feedback to silicon, package, and system design teams.
Verify power integrity performance and efficiency using advanced lab measurements and equipment.
What we're looking for
BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
M.S. or Ph.D. with an academic background in Power/Signal Integrity, Power Electronics, Electromagnetics, Microwave, and/or Analog/RF Circuit Design (preferred).
Understanding of power supply architecture, PCB and package design trends, and chip supply design methodologies (preferred).
Experience in PI/SI methodology development, PDN modeling from system to die, and lab correlation/validation (preferred).
Proficiency in Python coding and AI/ML assisted automation experience (preferred).
Experience in design and analysis of product power supply solutions (preferred).
Deep understanding of Voltage Regulator design principles and electrical performance in system environments (preferred).
Knowledge of 3D/2D EM simulation tools, electromagnetic theory, and lab equipment like VNA and spectrum analyzers (preferred).
