The Portfolio Business Architect Sr Specialist aligns business requirements with architecture concepts like value streams, capabilities, and strategy. Working within a multi-functional team, the individual will collaborate across business units to clarify stakeholder concerns, perform end-to-end analyses, and conduct gap analysis for global initiatives. The role involves modeling complex information using tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or IRIS Business Architect to ensure management decisions are based on facts. Key responsibilities include creating UML class diagrams, producing capability health assessments, and mapping capabilities to application architecture to support modernization and automation. Candidates must be proficient in frameworks like BIZBOK, TOGAF, OKR, and SWOT analysis. This role operates within the transportation industry, addressing complex regulatory requirements and managing multidimensional product lines including parcel, freight, and shipping services to ensure seamless delivery of business goals.

Advise executives on options to satisfy customer demand based on business architecture data.
Model complex information for large organizations using specialized tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect.
Translate business requirements into a standardized vocabulary supported by IT infrastructure.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, software engineering, information systems, operations research, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Two years of directly related experience.
Knowledge of BIZBOK, TOGAF, or other architectural frameworks.
Strong knowledge and experience in the creation of UML class diagrams to represent complex software systems.
Experience conducting end-to-end analyses, including data gathering, requirements specification, analysis, and presentations.
Strong understanding of the transportation industry, competitors, and evolving technologies.
Expertise in modeling and managing information using architecture tooling such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or IRIS Business Architect.
Proficiency in strategic frameworks like OKR, Kaplan Strategy Map, Porter’s Five Forces, BMM, Hoshin Kanri, SWOT, and Ansoff Product/Market Grid.
Track record of producing gap analysis reports aligned with digital transformation frameworks (knowledge of The Business Model by Feld Group Institute is preferred).
