The Business Systems Analyst - Strategic Portfolio Management joins the Strategic Portfolio Management team to develop enterprise systems that help teams plan, collaborate, and deliver. You will lead discovery workshops to uncover workflow friction, translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, and configure enterprise work-management platforms. Required skills include experience with Jira, Python, Groovy, and SQL, alongside knowledge of database concepts and software development lifecycle techniques. You will solve business problems by integrating generative AI, copilots, and intelligent agents into enterprise workflows while managing migrations and platform governance.
Lead discovery workshops with business users and engineering teams to identify workflow friction and opportunities for AI or automation.
Translate business needs into clear functional, technical, and data requirements with measurable success criteria.
Own the full solution lifecycle from feasibility evaluation and rapid prototyping to configuration, testing, and deployment.
Configure and optimize enterprise work-management platforms including workflows, permissions, dashboards, and integrations.
Build scalable, secure solutions that balance user experience with data privacy and responsible-AI practices.
Run user acceptance testing and provide training to ensure delivered solutions produce measurable outcomes.
Sustain platform reliability by resolving sophisticated technical issues, managing governance, and supporting migrations.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
More than 12 years of pertinent experience in business systems analysis, enterprise application or platform engineering, software delivery, or a related area.
Hands-on experience coordinating and configuring Jira or a comparable enterprise work-management platform.
Experience in automation or scripting with Python, Groovy, or a comparable language, along with practical knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
Proven ability leading discovery, gathering requirements, and translating user needs into practical solution builds.
Practical experience assessing, prototyping, or deploying AI-enabled solutions such as generative AI or large language model integrations.
Familiarity with data privacy, security, responsible-AI, and enterprise-governance approaches, along with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps techniques.
Deep experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, migrations to Atlassian Cloud, or governing multiple enterprise Jira instances (preferred).
