As a Platform Security Engineer - Wallet Payments & Commerce, you will join the Wallet & Payments Security Solutions team to build and operate security application frameworks for a Kubernetes-based multi-cloud platform. You will develop internal libraries, tools, and automated processes that integrate security into every stage of the development lifecycle while ensuring developer velocity remains high. Your daily work involves designing secure-by-default infrastructure patterns, conducting threat modeling for new capabilities, and leading incident resolutions. The role requires proficiency in Go, Kotlin/Java, and the Spring Framework, alongside expertise in Kubernetes security, identity management, and cryptography protocols like OAuth2 and OIDC. You will solve complex technical problems by creating guardrails for products involving Payments, Transit, Access, and Identity, ensuring that secure practices are seamlessly embedded into the underlying infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.

What you'll do

Develop internal frameworks, libraries, and tools that make secure development the easiest path for engineers.
Design and implement security controls and automation for a Kubernetes-based multi-cloud platform.
Champion secure-by-default infrastructure patterns to ensure safe engineering practices across the organization.
Partner with product teams to identify architectural risks and deliver pragmatic security mitigations.
Conduct threat modeling of new platform capabilities during early development phases.
Lead the resolution of incidents affecting developer platform security and conduct post-incident reviews.
Utilize coding agents and LLM-based tooling as a standard part of the development process.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in platform security, infrastructure and application development, or a related security engineering discipline.
Experience with Go, Kotlin/Java, and the Spring Framework.
Familiarity with current and emerging security architecture design for cloud environments.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences and global teams.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills in application development and security.
Experience contributing to or driving a secure-by-default platform initiative across a large engineering organization (preferred).
Expertise in Kubernetes security, identity management frameworks, and multi-cloud security controls (preferred).
Experience with supply chain security, cryptography protocols, and LLM-based development tooling (preferred).
