What you'll do

Architect and scale high-performance relational, NoSQL, streaming, and search data platforms.
Manage and operate distributed database systems including Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
Design and implement hybrid or multi-cloud architectures using AWS managed data services.
Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code and automation tools using Terraform, Ansible, or Crossplane.
Deploy and manage containerized database workloads on Kubernetes in production environments.
Perform query optimization, cluster tuning, capacity planning, and failure analysis for database internals.
Execute high availability, disaster recovery strategies, and zero-downtime migrations.
Build observability and alerting frameworks to monitor the health of the database fleet.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience operating and scaling distributed data platforms including Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
Deep expertise with AWS data services such as Aurora Postgres, RDS MSK, and ElastiCache.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane, or equivalent tools.
Experience deploying and operating containerized database workloads on Kubernetes in production environments.
Solid Python skills for automation, operational tooling, and platform workflows.
Deep understanding of database internals including query optimization, cluster tuning, capacity planning, and failure analysis.
Proven experience designing HA/DR strategies, zero-downtime migrations, and large-scale infrastructure transitions.
