What you'll do

Architect, scale, and evolve data infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
Deliver high-performance data services including relational, NoSQL, streaming, and search platforms.
Design and operate containerized database workloads on Kubernetes in production.
Build reusable automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or Crossplane.
Perform database query optimization, cluster tuning, capacity planning, and failure analysis.
Design and execute HA/DR strategies and zero-downtime migrations for large-scale infrastructure.
Develop operational tooling and platform workflows using Python.
Build and improve observability and alerting frameworks for database fleet monitoring.

What we're looking for

5+ years of hands-on experience operating and scaling distributed data platforms like Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis in production.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects independently from scoping and design through delivery and post-launch ownership.
Deep expertise with AWS data services (Aurora Postgres, RDS MSK, ElastiCache) and experience designing hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
Strong infrastructure-as-code proficiency using Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane, or equivalent to build reusable, scalable automation.
Experience deploying and operating containerized database workloads on Kubernetes in production.
Solid Python skills for automation, operational tooling, and platform workflows.
Deep understanding of database internals including query optimization, cluster tuning, capacity planning, and failure analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
