Physical Design Methodology CAD Engineer

As a Physical Design Methodology CAD Engineer within the Hardware Technology CAD team, you will develop flows, tools, and methodologies to support high-performance, power-efficient SoC designs including CPU, GPU, and Analog/Mixed Signal components. Your daily responsibilities involve creating custom CAD tools for implementation and signoff, developing solutions for physical design optimization, and building methods to improve PPA and productivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and EDA tool vendors to resolve issues and explore new technology nodes and stdcells. The role specifically involves leveraging GenAI tools to develop applications that enhance design team productivity while utilizing your knowledge of CAD algorithms and machine learning. Required technical skills include proficiency in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting languages, along with experience in PNR tools, RC extraction, static timing analysis, and physical verification.
