Physical AI Automation Engineer / Senior Engineer
The Physical AI Automation Engineer is a hands-on practitioner responsible for developing and integrating digital twin, 3D, simulation, and industrial-data solutions that connect virtual environments with physical operations. This role involves creating 3D environments from CAD/BIM/PLM inputs, building pipelines for assets, and developing simulations for layout, throughput, and operational validation. The engineer will build systems using NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, Nucleus, and Kit-based applications while developing Python or C++ extensions to connect models with industrial systems like IoT platforms, PLC/SCADA, MES, WMS, and ERP. Key technical skills include experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, Siemens, Dassault Systemes, PTC, Ansys, FlexSim, or AnyLogic. The role solves complex problems in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and engineering by creating virtual environments for design reviews, operator training, and process validation within asset-intensive industrial environments.
Develop and integrate digital twins for products, equipment, production lines, and other physical operations.
Create 3D environments and asset pipelines using CAD, BIM, PLM data, and reality-capture inputs.
Build simulation models to validate layout, throughput, material flow, cycle time, and resource utilization.
Connect digital twins with industrial systems such as IoT platforms, PLC/SCADA, MES, and ERP systems.
Develop Python or C++ extensions, APIs, and data pipelines to automate connections between models and operational data.
Support model calibration, scenario design, and the interpretation of results for engineering and operations stakeholders.
Create virtual environments for design reviews, operator training, and process validation.
Implement software engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, and documentation for production-quality solutions.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience in digital twins, 3D engineering, simulation, industrial software, game engines, or systems integration.
Hands-on experience in 3D model development, discrete-event/process simulation, physics-based simulation, virtual commissioning, or industrial data integration.
Proficiency with tools such as NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, Unity, Unreal Engine, Siemens, Dassault Systemes, PTC, Ansys, FlexSim, AnyLogic, or Visual Components.
Programming or scripting capability in Python, C++, C#, or a comparable language.
Ability to translate engineering or operational requirements into models, simulation scenarios, integrations, and testable outcomes.
Understanding of software engineering, testing, documentation, and structured delivery practices.
Experience with NVIDIA technologies like Nucleus, Kit SDK, or Isaac Sim (preferred).
Experience in CAD/BIM/PLM integration, 3D optimization, reality capture, or industrial ecosystem integration across IoT, PLC/SCADA, MES, WMS, and ERP (preferred).
