TL;DR · Robotics Automation Engineer, Senior Engineer

The Robotics Automation Engineer / Senior Engineer joins the team to design, program, and deploy industrial robots, collaborative robots, and AMRs/AGVs within manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics environments. This role focuses on transforming robotics use cases into reliable production systems by integrating hardware with end effectors, conveyors, safety systems, machine vision, and various enterprise software like MES, WMS, and ERP. The candidate will utilize tools such as ROS/ROS 2, Python, C++, and PLC/SCADA systems while leveraging digital twins and simulation platforms like NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Gazebo for virtual commissioning. Key responsibilities include developing control logic, performing cycle-time studies, and managing fleet orchestration. The role addresses the Physical AI lifecycle, solving complex problems in motion planning, SLAM, and sensor fusion to ensure safe, scalable automation across diverse industrial operations and asset-intensive environments.

What you'll do

  • Design, program, configure, and deploy industrial robots, collaborative robots, and autonomous mobile vehicles (AMRs/AGVs).
  • Integrate robotic systems with end effectors, conveyors, safety systems, machine vision, and enterprise software like ERP or WMS.
  • Develop robot programs and control logic using tools such as ROS/ROS 2, Python, C++, and other automation technologies.
  • Utilize digital twins and simulation for offline programming, layout validation, and risk reduction during the deployment process.
  • Support robotics intelligence capabilities including perception, localization, SLAM, motion planning, and autonomous decision logic.
  • Conduct integration testing, safety assessments, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and site acceptance procedures to ensure production readiness.
  • Troubleshoot software, control systems, networks, sensors, and mechanical issues during commissioning and post-go-live support.
  • Document robot programs, configurations, operating procedures, and runbooks for ongoing maintenance and support.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in robotics automation, robot programming, controls integration, AMR/AGV deployment, or autonomous systems.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one industrial robot, cobot, or mobile-robot ecosystem such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or Universal Robots.
  • Proficiency in robotics fundamentals including coordinate frames, kinematics, motion, sensors, controls, and safe operation.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot across hardware and software in operational environments.
  • Bachelor's degree, or an associate degree with at least 6 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience integrating robotics with automation equipment, software (PLC/SCADA), and operational processes (MES, WMS, ERP).
  • Knowledge of the Physical AI lifecycle including simulation, training, orchestration, and industrial data.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS 2, Python, C++, machine vision, or simulation tools like NVIDIA Isaac Sim is preferred.
