The Pharmacy Interface Certification Engineer joins the McKesson Pharmacy Systems team to support and certify integrations across the EnterpriseRx platform and partner ecosystem. Preferred expertise includes HL7, FHIR, NCPDP Script, or NCPDP Telecommunications standards, along with experience using Postman, SoapUI, and AI-enabled tools. The role focuses on solving complex integration problems within the pharmacy technology domain to ensure seamless data exchange and successful technical outcomes for healthcare partners.

What you'll do

  • Lead interface certification projects from initial onboarding through final production deployment.
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot APIs, interfaces, and healthcare data transactions.
  • Communicate technical requirements and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create and maintain documentation for certifications, implementations, and ongoing support activities.
  • Manage multiple integration projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Resolve complex issues involving REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and SQL databases.
  • Improve integration processes and customer outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration, interface certification, implementation, API support, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and integration testing tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting system integrations, interfaces, and data transactions.
  • Experience working with healthcare or pharmacy technology platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, NCPDP Script, or NCPDP Telecommunications standards (preferred).
