The Pharmacy Interface Certification Engineer joins the McKesson Pharmacy Systems team to support and certify integrations across the EnterpriseRx platform and partner ecosystem. You will utilize REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, SQL, and relational databases to manage complex system integrations. Preferred technical competencies include familiarity with HL7, FHIR, NCPDP Script, and NCPDP Telecommunications standards, along with experience using Postman, SoapUI, or AI-enabled troubleshooting tools. This role solves critical technical problems by ensuring seamless data flow and reliable connectivity within pharmacy technology platforms.

What you'll do

  • Lead interface certification projects from initial onboarding through production deployment.
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot APIs, interfaces, and healthcare data transactions.
  • Communicate technical requirements and implementation plans to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create and maintain documentation for certifications, implementations, and ongoing support activities.
  • Manage multiple integration projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Support customer onboarding and technical consulting activities for the EnterpriseRx platform.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration, interface certification, implementation, API support, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and integration testing tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting system integrations, interfaces, and data transactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with healthcare or pharmacy technology platforms (preferred).
