Oracle Cloud Financials Architect (Public Sector) serves as a Senior Principal Functional Consultant within the IBM Consulting team. Your daily work involves facilitating workshops to define requirements, developing testing scripts, and overseeing unit, integration, and acceptance testing events. The role requires a strong foundation in general accounting principles and extensive experience in full-cycle Oracle Cloud implementations. You will solve complex financial reporting needs while ensuring all technical objects align with established project timelines and high-quality documentation standards.

What you'll do

Lead functional tracks on IBM’s Oracle Cloud ERP engagements.
Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Tax, and Fixed Assets.
Conduct gap analysis between client requirements and delivered functionality to provide recommended solutions.
Map customer business processes to Oracle Cloud Applications and configure modules accordingly.
Migrate customer financial data from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud Applications.
Prepare functional designs for technical objects and develop testing scenarios and scripts.
Lead testing events including unit, integration, and acceptance testing for Cloud Financial modules.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to clients regarding the new system.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of ERP Implementation Experience with 2 full cycle implementations on Oracle Cloud Applications as Module Lead.
Subject matter expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Tax, Collections, Expenses, FA, and CM.
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and rules for financial modules.
Experience in Business Process Consulting, gap analysis, and leading global design workshops.
Ability to travel as needed to support clients on-site.
Experience with Budgetary Controls, Encumbrance Accounting, SCM, or Project Portfolio Management (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and documentation.
