The Optical Interconnect System Integration and Qualification Engineer joins the team to lead system-level integration, validation, and qualification of next-generation optical and high-speed electrical interconnects for AI scale-out and scale-up platforms. This role involves performing electrical, optical, and protocol validation for 100G and 200G per-lane PAM4 links while driving host-side SerDes optimization including equalization tuning, BER testing, and eye analysis. The candidate will manage the qualification of 400G, 800G, and 1.6T optical transceivers, DACs, and AECs. Key technical requirements include proficiency with CMIS, MSA standards, and Python for automation. Day-to-day work involves using DCA-X, BERTs, real-time oscilloscopes, and optical spectrum analyzers to debug issues across ASICs, boards, firmware, and software layers. The role solves complex integration challenges for pluggable, onboard, and co-packaged optics within high-performance data center architectures.
Lead optical transceiver and cable qualification at both module and system levels for high-speed platforms.

Drive host-side SerDes optimization including equalization tuning, BER testing, eye analysis, and link stability characterization.

Perform hardware characterization using advanced equipment like real-time oscilloscopes, BERTs, and optical power meters.
Develop Python-based automation solutions for test execution, data collection, and reporting.
Influence future platform architectures by providing technical recommendations on optics selection and SerDes requirements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in optical networking, high-speed data communications, hardware validation, SerDes validation, or system-level interconnect qualification.
Expertise in 400G, 800G, and 1.6T optical technologies including QSFP-DD, QSFP112, and OSFP.
Proficiency in host-side SerDes tuning, including equalization, eye analysis, BER testing, and FEC evaluation.
Experience with advanced lab equipment such as DCA-X, BERTs, real-time oscilloscopes, and optical spectrum analyzers.
Strong understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) fundamentals.
Proficiency in Python for automation, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Familiarity with industry standards including IEEE, OIF, CMIS, SFF-8636, and MSA requirements.
