What you'll do

Design, simulate, and model electro-optical building blocks for silicon photonics solutions.
Develop RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuits using SiGe or CMOS processes.
Derive technical specifications for Photonics IC and Electrical IC subsystems.
Perform IC floor planning, layout, and modeling of package parasitics.
Evaluate and measure electrical and optical building blocks of high-speed optical links.
Develop automated test lab equipment for performing laboratory measurements.
Coordinate with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualification of components.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
5+ years of photonics or electro-optical integrated circuit design.
Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering with an emphasis in electro-optics integrated circuit design (preferred).
Experience using simulation tools such as Spectre, ADS, HFSS, Momentum, Ansys Lumerical, or COMSOL (preferred).
Photonics design skills and experience simulating optical building blocks like MZM, Microring modulators, and waveguides (preferred).
Electrical circuit design skills for linear and non-linear circuits like high bandwidth modulator drivers and TIAs (preferred).
Experience with wideband circuit designs for high speed SerDes links exceeding 100Gbps (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
