JOB TITLE: Operations Engineer (Starlink Aviation) As an Operations Engineer for the Starlink Aviation team, you will ensure the performance and reliability of aviation processes. You will lead technical investigations into fleet-wide reliability issues, troubleshoot customer support tooling, and analyze findings from defective hardware returns. Your daily work involves building robust processes for hardware troubleshooting, developing data pipelines for performance metrics, and creating custom software to assess hardware reliability. What you'll do

Lead technical investigations into fleet-wide performance and reliability issues to present findings to executives.
Build and maintain infrastructure, tools, and custom software to assess Starlink aviation hardware performance.
Apply data science and statistical inference to build models that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Develop operational processes to reduce customer issue resolution time and streamline hardware troubleshooting.
Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to monitor and alert on reliability metrics.
Analyze findings from defective hardware returns to improve hardware processing and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot customer support tooling to ensure efficient technical issue resolution.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data analysis, or another STEM discipline.
1+ years of experience with SQL.
1+ years of experience with data analysis in Python/R.
1+ years of experience with Bash scripting (preferred).
Strong coding skills with a foundation in software design principles (preferred).
Familiarity with data science and machine learning fundamentals (preferred).
Experience in a technical operational role under the pressure of a live service or production environment (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
