What you'll do

Develop and scale network operations processes and tools to provide global internet access.
Drive design for operations by incorporating debugging tools and strategies into NetOps processes.
Manage the complete lifecycle of projects including development, testing, deployment, and support.
Ensure rapid and organized network incident response processes to minimize customer impact.
Develop monitoring, alerting, and triage processes to quickly resolve emergent problems.
Define and manage project milestones, roadmaps, and scope to deliver on program directives.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical network operations as needed.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science; OR 2+ years of professional experience in software development, system administration, site reliability, or network operations.
Experience with Python, SQL, and/or bash scripting.
Experience with modern networking protocols including TCP/IPv4/IPv6, voice, video, broadcast, and streaming.
Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline (preferred).
2+ years of experience developing software, processes, or projects in a rapidly changing, highly demanding environment (preferred).
Understanding of service provider and home network technologies, including switching, routing, and subscriber management (preferred).
Experience with SDN, NFV, customer interaction, and creating documentation from scratch (preferred).
Current associate level or higher industry networking certification such as JNCIA or CCNA (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
