Open Architecture Systems Engineer, Ground Systems

What you'll do

• Develop architecture, requirements, test cases, and ICDs based on stakeholder needs.
• Create and maintain systems engineering artifacts to support product development, delivery, and sustainment.
• Serve as the primary interface between the company and government customers for systems integration.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Digital and Systems Engineering strategies.
• Demonstrate model artifacts during stakeholder meetings and formal events.
• Build a deep technical understanding of autonomy, simulation, and perception products through artifact creation.
• Ensure all engineering artifacts are complete, accurate, and meet contractual delivery requirements.

What we're looking for

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science, or a similar engineering or technical field.
• 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience across the life cycle.
• Understanding of interoperability, integration, and scalability challenges in defense systems.
• Experience developing Ground System use cases, behaviors, and requirements.
• Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar.
• Experience developing model-based systems engineering artifacts such as activity diagrams, use case diagrams, and BDDs.
• Experience with Cameo MagicDraw or similar systems engineering software.
• Experience with Digital Engineering workflows and Integrated Modeling Environments like Teamwork Cloud.
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Understanding of networking design, test, and operation of communications systems for LOS and BLOS (preferred).
• Experience developing software, cryptographic, and cybersecurity architectures for classified, multi-level secure systems (preferred).
• Experience defining or implementing Ground System behaviors through UCI (preferred).
• Experience with automation in Cameo or Python relevant to Systems Engineering use cases (preferred).
• Understanding of cloud or hybrid cloud architectures (preferred).
• Experience developing architectures in SysML v2 (preferred).
• INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) Certification (preferred).
