OCI Cloud Architect, Financial Services

What you'll do

• Lead workload discovery to identify business objectives, application dependencies, performance metrics, and technical acceptance paths.
• Design OCI, hybrid, and multicloud architectures across compute, storage, networking, security, and data platforms.
• Build and lead workshops, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and benchmarks using representative workloads.
• Incorporate financial services context including transaction correctness, peak demand, data entitlements, and legacy system dependencies.
• Partner with security and risk teams to address encryption, data residency, audit evidence, and access controls.
• Develop technical proposals, infrastructure sizing, migration approaches, and comprehensive business cases.
• Coordinate with internal specialists and partners to resolve blockers and support the transition from proof to adoption.
• Create reusable reference architectures and documentation to enable the wider team and customers.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, solution engineering, technical consulting, or enterprise architecture.
• Direct experience working within financial services or delivering technology to financial institutions.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one financial services domain such as banking, payments, capital markets, investment management, or insurance.
• Strong architecture and practical engineering skills in OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on ability to deploy and troubleshoot cloud environments, use infrastructure as code, and automate with scripting or APIs.
• Experience navigating financial institutions’ architecture reviews, security assessments, change processes, and production-readiness requirements.
• Success leading complex customer or stakeholder engagements and communicating with senior leaders.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
