IT System Administrator

What you'll do

• Administer server platforms and virtualization environments to ensure system stability, security, and performance.
• Monitor system metrics and log files to perform trend analysis and proactively prevent incidents.
• Execute infrastructure changes through a formal process including risk assessment, testing, and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and escalate cases.
• Manage capacity planning, lifecycle refreshes, patching, firmware updates, and hardware upgrades.
• Participate in emergency response coordination and a rotational on-call schedule for critical events.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python or Shell to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into infrastructure operations and monitoring processes.

What we're looking for

• BS Degree in Computer Science.
• Hands-on experience with Linux or Windows server administration.
• Basic understanding of Network architectures, TCP/IP, name resolution, directory services, SAN, NAS, and enterprise Backup environments.
• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI concepts, and AI-assisted operational tools.
• Experience in automation using scripting languages like Shell and Python (preferred).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (preferred).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in physically racking and cabling data center equipment (preferred).
