The NCIS Field Computer Specialist joins the IT Technology Development division within the NCIS ITD organization. This role provides technical advice and guidance on the installation, configuration, and enhancement of technical products and systems. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and business application issues across various enclaves, coordinating network outage resolutions, and performing Trusted Agent functions for the SIPR Token program. The specialist will utilize ServiceNow for change management, ticketing, and asset inventory while supporting VTC system deployment and NMCI requirements. Key skills include network administration, field engineering, and technical support. Required technologies and certifications include Security+ CE and GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security. This position supports the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in managing criminal investigations, counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters within the Department of the Navy.
Provide technical advice on the installation, configuration, and enhancement of company technical products and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for employees and contractors in person or remotely.
Manage IT service requests, change management, and asset inventory using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
Coordinate troubleshooting efforts to resolve network outages across the area of responsibility.
Perform Trusted Agent functions for the SIPR Token program.
Deploy and maintain Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems for regional users.
Support NMCI by gathering requirements, ordering equipment, and coordinating with the Contract Technical Representative.
Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and perform general maintenance tasks on all enclaves.
What we're looking for
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have 5+ years of experience with network administration and user support.
Must have an AAS Degree or equivalent work experience.
Must hold Security+ CE and GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security certifications.
Must have experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of business and end user-specific application software in a large government installation.
Must have skills in Field Engineering, Network Administration, and Technical Support.
Experience in a military environment is a plus (preferred).
