NCIS Cyber Security Analyst The NCIS Cyber Security Analyst joins the ITD organization to support critical cyber matters, law enforcement, and counter-terrorism missions. In this role, you will manage and validate system security compliance by reviewing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and utilizing scanning tools to ensure configurations meet Department of the Navy requirements. You will perform risk analyses on computer systems throughout the development life cycle using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Key responsibilities include executing RMF security control testing, preparing Detailed Vulnerability List reports for eMASS records, and maintaining Authorization packages. To succeed, you must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and expertise in NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5, XACTA tools, and public key-based technologies. You will ensure all enterprise security packages remain in a compliant status through continuous monitoring and rigorous assessment processes.

What you'll do

Manage and validate system security compliance by reviewing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Execute and document the testing of RMF security controls to ensure compliance with NCIS policies.
Select, tailor, and document security and privacy controls based on NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5.
Perform regular ACAS scans to identify vulnerabilities and provide Detailed Vulnerability List (DVL) reports for eMASS records.
Conduct risk analyses of computer systems and applications throughout all phases of the system development life cycle.
Manage RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages by initiating, processing, and monitoring them within the eMASS system.
Create asset lists and provide ACAS summary reports to support continuous monitoring for authorized packages.

What we're looking for

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance or a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must have 5+ years of experience in the systems security discipline with a focus on Navy Cybersecurity practices.
Must have experience with RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, eMASS tools, XACTA tools, and ACAS vulnerability scanning.
Must have experience with STIGs, HBSS, PPSM, and public key-based technologies for applications.
Must possess a CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
Must have a BS degree or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship.
