The Mission Systems Software Test and Verification Software Lead joins the Air Dominance Software Team to provide engineering leadership in developing automated test products and toolsets. This role involves leading a team of software verification engineers to design, develop, and execute large-scale automated testing solutions for advanced avionics systems. The lead ensures that software meets critical requirements for functionality, performance, and safety while managing the translation of system-level requirements into verification models. Key responsibilities include identifying defects during formal qualification testing and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery within budget. Candidates must possess experience in full life-cycle software development using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada on Linux platforms. The role addresses complex technical challenges in the domain of mission-critical defense systems where reliability is paramount for aircraft platforms and safety-critical software certification.
Lead a team of software verification engineers in designing and developing automated test products.
Supervise the execution of large-scale automated testing solutions for advanced mission systems software.
Ensure test products verify functionality, performance, and safety while identifying and reporting defects or vulnerabilities.
Translate system-level requirements into software requirements and verification models with clear traceability.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure test team efforts align with program objectives and delivery schedules.
Manage the development of tools to address complex demands of testing advanced avionics systems.
Oversee formal qualification testing for all software components to ensure production-ready code.
What we're looking for
Must possess an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 to meet export control requirements.
Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
5+ years of experience leading a software development project or team.
3+ years of experience with the design and leadership of automated test system development projects.
5+ years of experience with full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.
U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
