What you'll do

  • Lead the design, development, qualification, and sustainment of propulsion system support equipment and specialized tooling.
  • Define requirements for propulsion support equipment and lead cross-functional teams through the planning and execution phases.
  • Manage mechanical and electrical aspects of support equipment while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Interface with vendors to ensure manufacturing processes meet specific design definition requirements.
  • Conduct try-out activities with assembly engineers to verify the form, fit, and function of new equipment.
  • Analyze existing common support equipment to determine reusability or the need for new peculiar support equipment.
  • Author technical documents including program plans, requirement documents, and monthly status reports regarding scope and budget.
  • Manage complex Integrated Master Schedules and budgets aligned with DoD Earned Value Management requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to export-control requirements.
  • Familiarity with turbine engine systems and propulsion systems such as F110, F118, F414, F100, F119, or F135.
  • Experience performing project or program management functions.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Support processes for military engine systems.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
