As a Mid-level Decision Science Analyst - Member Value, you will join the Member Value team to transform member service experiences through end-to-end analytics. You will be responsible for gathering, manipulating, and synthesizing data such as attributes, transactions, and behaviors to provide decision support across various business areas. Your daily work involves applying mathematical and statistical techniques to uncover critical insights, creating actionable recommendations, and developing communication materials for management. To succeed, you must utilize SQL, SAS, and BI tools while incorporating visualization techniques to simplify complex findings. You will also perform exploratory data analysis, manage data hygiene, and leverage digital analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics. This role solves the challenge of improving member satisfaction by translating complex data into evidence-based strategies that drive significant organizational change and influence future business strategy.

What you'll do

  • Apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to solve large-scale business problems and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Gather, manipulate, and synthesize diverse data sources including member behaviors and transaction records.
  • Integrate and transform disparate data sources while ensuring high standards of data hygiene.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear communication materials for peer review and senior management.
  • Create visualizations to simplify technical analysis for non-technical audiences.
  • Document all assumptions, methodologies, and testing results to meet compliance and peer review requirements.
  • Identify and monitor risks associated with business activities in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Utilize SQL and other analytical tools to extract, clean, and join complex datasets.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics.
  • 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience in the banking or finance industry; OR an advanced degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in mathematical and statistical techniques to drive fact-based decision-making.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, BI tools, and other data visualization and analysis software.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear communication materials for mid-to-upper level management.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data from diverse sources to derive actionable conclusions (preferred).
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics (preferred).
  • Prior U.S. military service or being a military spouse/domestic partner is highly valued (preferred).
