The MES Software Engineer/Data Analyst will join the manufacturing team to design, develop, and enhance a custom Manufacturing Execution System platform for semiconductor wafer fabrication. This role involves building configurable manufacturing workflows, dispatching logic, and electronic work instructions while developing application frameworks, APIs, and user interfaces. The engineer will create scalable database architectures for genealogy, traceability, and SPC, and integrate the MES with ERP systems, PLCs, SCADA platforms, and IoT devices. Key responsibilities include developing AI-enabled capabilities for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection. Required skills include proficiency in SQL, Python, C#, JavaScript, and .NET, along with knowledge of REST APIs, OPC UA, and MQTT. The position focuses on modernizing manufacturing processes and improving production efficiency within a high-volume semiconductor environment.
Design, configure, and implement MES platforms to support semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Build configurable manufacturing workflows, process routes, dispatching logic, and electronic work instructions.
Develop MES application frameworks, APIs, services, and user interfaces.
Create scalable database architectures for genealogy, traceability, SPC, and manufacturing analytics.
Integrate MES with ERP systems, equipment automation, PLCs, SCADA platforms, and historians.
Develop AI-enabled capabilities for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and intelligent scheduling.
Build custom dashboards, reporting tools, and real-time manufacturing monitoring applications.
Create technical documentation, system specifications, SOPs, and training materials.
What we're looking for
BS in a relevant engineering or IT field and 8+ years of experience, or an MS in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience.
Experience developing, implementing, and supporting MES platforms.
Experience building internally developed MES or manufacturing applications (preferred).
Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device, automotive, or electronics manufacturing (strongly preferred).
Experience with MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware, SAP ME/MII, Tulip, Critical Manufacturing, or Apriso.
Programming experience in SQL, Python, C#, JavaScript, and .NET.
Knowledge of REST APIs, OPC UA, MQTT, industrial networking, and database management.
Experience integrating MES with ERP systems, PLCs, SCADA, IoT devices, or cloud platforms.
