What you'll do

Perform mechanical design, conceptualization, analysis, and evaluation for Mechatronics products.
Utilize internal machining and rapid prototyping equipment to conduct hands-on testing and iterative design.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure components meet specific performance and cost objectives.
File invention disclosures and develop technical materials for formal design reviews.
Develop test criteria and equipment for automated product testing and high-volume manufacturing transitions.
Conduct failure analysis and implement 8D methodology to resolve complex engineering problems.
Contribute to the company's best-known methods database to improve internal processes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong design background coupled with solid engineering skills.
Expertise in 3D CAD tools such as CREO or NX.
Proven analytical skills including modeling simulations using FEA applications like Creo Simulation or COMSOL.
Ability to design test stands, instrument data acquisition, and perform hands-on testing daily.
Familiarity with machining practices, sheet metal fabrication, and other manufacturing methods.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping methods.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
