Mechanical Engineer, Production First Line Support

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot mechanical assembly, bonding, thermal, flow, testing, and qualification issues impacting production.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing teams within a cleanroom environment.
• Investigate product failures and recommend corrective actions to restore production performance.
• Develop troubleshooting guides, root cause analyses, and process improvement plans.
• Maintain manufacturing procedures, technical work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Review technical drawings and specifications to identify and resolve manufacturing concerns.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve cycle time, quality, and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline with at least 2 years of related experience.
• A Master's degree in an engineering field is also accepted as a qualifying education.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or engineering operations in a technical environment is required.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly, alignment processes, tooling, and test equipment is required.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and optical technical drawings is required.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW is required.
• Experience with quality methodologies like FMEA or statistical process control is preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under Export Administration Regulations.
