The Quality Engineer - Factory joins a team operating within a precision high-tech manufacturing environment to support the production of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. This role involves collaborating with development engineers to implement comprehensive production tests, performance verification, and troubleshooting diagnostics. Key responsibilities include managing Statistical Process Control (SPC) parameters, conducting process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA), performing Dead-On-Arrival investigations, and providing direct support in a cleanroom for data collection and quality improvements. The candidate will utilize tools such as MS Excel to manage data, with potential exposure to MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, NX, Teamcenter, and SAP. Essential competencies include proficiency in Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, ability to read optical, mechanical, and electrical drawings, and the skill to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality production standards for complex integrated circuits.
Provide detailed support for Statistical Process Control (SPC) parameters including target setting, monitoring, and offline reviews.
Facilitate ongoing and planned Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA) reviews and follow-up actions.
Conduct Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) investigations and manage the associated reporting processes.
Spend up to 50% of time in the cleanroom providing direct support for quality improvements and data collection.
Utilize SPC data and analysis reports to drive structural process improvements and establish trustworthy data targets.
Develop, implement, and automate quality processes and Best Known Methods (BKMs) across multiple engineering disciplines.
Create action plans for underperforming Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and develop automated reporting tools.
Review failure analysis reports from customers and suppliers to validate the root cause of failures.
What we're looking for
Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
A BS in Engineering is required for candidates with 2+ years of experience; a MS in Engineering is required for candidates with 0+ years of experience.
Experience in a production environment with high-tech products and complex production processes is required.
Experience in technical Production Engineering and quality methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and FMEA is required.
Experience in Quality and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing is required.
Ability to read optical, mechanical, and electrical drawings is required.
Strong MS Excel data management and presentation skills are required.
Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python (preferred); working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, or SAP (preferred).
