This role focuses on ensuring vehicle stability and performance through precise weight and balance control for advanced defense platforms.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain mass properties data including weight, center of gravity, and inertia for new air vehicles.
  • Define mass properties related design requirements for vehicle systems.
  • Provide technical guidance for vehicle and subsystem configuration trade studies.
  • Manage weight and balance control efforts for various components and assemblies.
  • Estimate, calculate, measure, and verify the physical properties of completed systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal mass properties accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Author official Weights and Balance Manuals for air vehicles.
  • Create and implement new engineering processes and tools to improve development workflows.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.), Master's degree (M.E.), or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace or related industry.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Siemens NX proficiency (preferred).
  • UAV design experience (preferred).
