TL;DR · Manufacturing Process Engineer, Supply Chain

The Manufacturing Process Engineer, Supply Chain Org, is a hands-on role focused on developing, qualifying, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure high quality, yield, throughput, safety, and cost performance. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and external partners, the engineer will build and document work instructions, process parameters, fixtures, and control plans for new and existing products. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing root-cause analysis to resolve production bottlenecks, executing process characterization studies, and managing new product introductions and scale-up activities. The role requires expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and industrial engineering principles. Candidates will utilize tools for automation and digital manufacturing while managing equipment qualification and tooling specifications. This position solves critical manufacturing challenges by converting complex engineering requirements into stable, scalable production processes to ensure reliable manufacturing of products.

What you'll do

  • Develop, document, and qualify manufacturing processes, work instructions, and control plans for new and existing products.
  • Execute process characterization, validation, and capability studies while defining clear acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to improve yield, throughput, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for defects, downtime, and production bottlenecks.
  • Support new product introduction, pilot builds, and production ramp activities through readiness planning.
  • Evaluate, specify, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation technologies.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support to resolve issues in the manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, standard work records, and training materials.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, process, industrial, or operations engineering.
  • Experience solving manufacturing-process problems to improve quality, yield, throughput, cost, or safety.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing-process development, process controls, and industrial-engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and controlled-documentation practices.
  • Experience supporting new-product introduction, process transfer, or production scale-up is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
