Automation & Controls Engineer, Facilities

What you'll do

• Architect, write, and debug structured PLC code for manufacturing applications.
• Design and lay out industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79, NEC, and UL508A.
• Create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics for automated systems.
• Simulate processes using tools like Robotstudio or Kuka Sim to verify conceptual viability.
• Select and size electrical and electromechanical components such as servo motors and controllers.
• Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic, and fluid plumbing.
• Develop HMI screens to provide troubleshooting feedback for complex machinery.
• Deploy automated processes and equipment into production environments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in the design and commissioning of automation and controls systems for industrial applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
• Knowledge of building automation systems for critical infrastructure (preferred).
• Mechanical (HVAC) controls and wiring, Delta controls (preferred).
• Electrical schematic CAD experience using EPlan (preferred).
• PLC programming experience, preferably Siemens TIA Portal and Beckhoff TwinCat 3 (preferred).
• HMI and SCADA programming experience (preferred).
