What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers while managing staffing and performance.
  • Design and deliver reference architectures, sample applications, and reusable implementation patterns for the enterprise.
  • Provide technical leadership for architecture design reviews and high-level implementation decisions.
  • Develop production-grade code and prototypes to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Partner with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Drive the adoption of standardized engineering practices and reusable patterns across all development teams.
  • Influence organizational standards for cloud-native technologies, microservices, and distributed systems.

What we're looking for

  • At least 7 years of experience building enterprise-scale applications and services.
  • At least 2 years of technical leadership, team leadership, or people management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java for building distributed applications and services.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with container technologies and Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Understanding of distributed systems including scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence engineering decisions.
