As Manager, Software Engineering - Identity Platform, you will join the Risk, Fraud, and Disputes pod to lead the design, development, and execution of the Identity Platform. What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end identity verification lifecycle including CIP, CDD, and continuous risk monitoring.
  • Build and operate systems to enforce KYC obligations and sanction screening.
  • Drive AI-first automation to reduce manual review rates for KYC/KYB decisioning.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team to improve velocity and system reliability.
  • Act as the technical leader in customer and regulatory escalations to resolve complex compliance scenarios.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Legal teams to shape the platform roadmap.
  • Ensure the identity platform is architected to be extensible for new markets and regulatory frameworks.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 8–10+ years of experience in engineering.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience managing senior and staff engineers.
  • Must have deep backend engineering expertise in building and scaling systems.
  • Must have experience leading teams across synchronous API services (Java/Spring Boot) and batch/event-driven ETL pipelines (Python/Airflow).
  • Must have experience in operational excellence, incident management, and driving blameless post-mortems.
  • Must have a hands-on AI-first mindset to drive automation and reduce manual review rates.
  • Must be able to engage directly with enterprise customers and compliance officers to translate technical decisions.
  • Deep understanding of identity verification, AML/BSA compliance, and regulatory obligations in fintech (preferred).
