Software Engineering Manager, Platform Technologies

What you'll do

• Lead a high-performing engineering team building foundational infrastructure and core capabilities for the security data platform.
• Design and develop advanced query, indexing, and data integration services for mission-critical operations.
• Build and maintain core platform libraries and APIs used by internal teams to operate at scale.
• Drive long-term technical vision while executing near-term results in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage the development of large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure like Spark or Databricks.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability for high-volume security monitoring data.
• Oversee the delivery of production-grade services including CI/CD, documentation, and automated testing.
• Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure successful design and delivery of shared platform capabilities.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years of management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong software design, problem solving, and debugging skills with hands-on experience in distributed systems or large-scale data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Scala, Python, Go, Swift, or Java.
• Experience building or operating data lake, lakehouse, or large-scale analytics platforms (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg).
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality, production-grade services and platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with indexing/search technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS), or data governance (preferred).
• Experience with GenAI/ML platform engineering, Scrum/Agile methodologies, or information security backgrounds (preferred).
