Manager, Software Engineering (App Experiences)

What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers by setting clear expectations and providing direct feedback for career development.
• Own the technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for major consumer experience initiatives and large-scale redesigns.
• Empower tech leads and engineers to maintain high design and quality standards during technical design and cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems while managing incident response and reducing operational toil.
• Drive alignment across multiple organizations to influence roadmaps for partner experience and foundational teams.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to execute cross-functional initiatives and build organizational trust.
• Guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions using strong technical judgment to resolve complex engineering problems.

What we're looking for

• You must have at least 7 years of software engineering experience.
• You must have at least 3 years of experience managing and growing engineering teams.
• You must have proven experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.
• You must be familiar with modern full-stack development, including React or React Native and backend-for-frontend systems.
• You must possess the technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
• You must have experience leading significant end-to-end technical initiatives like decoupling or re-platforming systems.
• You must possess strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.
• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
